On Friday, Feb. 19^th, 2010. Councilwomen Janice Hahn (District 15), met with Executive Board/Board of Directors of the Friends of The Croatian Cultural Center Inc. (FCCC), a non-profit organization that runs Croatian Cultural Center of Greater Los Angeles (CCCGLA) to get familiar with the fresh start and future directions of the new FCCC leadership. The visitors spent some time in a business meeting with the FCCC President Maya Bristow and several members of the Executive Board, where they agreed of a common goal to preserve the Croatian Cultural Center as a community outreach center for several generations of Croatians that for more than 100 years now have build and incorporated their lives in and around maritime and cultural traditions of San Pedro and Greater Los Angeles area.  FCCC informed Councilwomen Hahn of current programs and activities in the Center that are focused to preserve and present Croatian language and culture to the local community and to build the collaboration and exchange with other cultures and ethnic groups in this area. The leadership of the CCCGLA is also interested to reach out to the local area businesses and actively participate in initiatives to improve and contribute to the development and beautification of the downtown San Pedro/7^th Street community. FCCC expressed their gratitude to have Councilwomen Hahn from the local government and the new Consul General of the Republic of Croatia in Los Angeles, Ilija Zelalic, on their side.
